The computer recomposes time and space creating and generating always new space-time loops and rhythms. Pachebel’s canon in D is offered as a meta-logical pattern and a context for image recomposition with repetitions, juxtapositions and counterpoints. The app also allows you to play and stop the music. The user also may record the video and sound of the performance pressinf a button. When the redording is stopped a download button appears and when pressed the video file is downloaded to the local computer.
Enjoy the space here: It works better in Chrome and Brave (not so well in safari).
Simple Instructions:
NOTE: It can take 5 seconds to load the video feed after you aprove it. The sequencing should be contonuous from bottom-up; reload otherwise.
1.-Open link to app in your computer. You would nee to have a webcam embedded of connected to your computer.
2.-Play with your movements and delayes or the sequencing of the movements.
3.-You may play the Pachebl’s Canon in D pressing the button or try you music with in.
4.-You may record you performance of the Cnon wuth the recording button. You you stop the redording a brutton for downloading will appear.
5.-Press download and a video mp4 file will be dowloaded to your computer.
6.-You may share your video in YoYbe and send me the link to marlon@dance-tech.net

It is a series of classic video processing algorithms that uses the webcam input as a source and the browser as performance space; they helps us to rediscover the affordances of movement and perception augmented by computational systems and algorithmic compositional strategies. The space of the frame is choreographed and remapped in coupling with the camera of user/performer. Soft Spaces represent the cognitive continuity of software creation, interface design and embodiment. They conceived as invitations are invitations to create and compose in front of the computer.
